1975—Judd Missner

Judd Missner marks the second generation of leadership at The Missner Group. Beginning his career as a laborer at 15 years old, Mr. Missner spent summer breaks in high school and college working in the construction trade.

Mr. Missner Graduated from the University of Illinois in 1959. After years of collaborating with his father Irv, and laborers within the company, he progressed through roles as a tradesman, field superintendent, estimator, project manager, and executive, truly learning the role from the "ground up". By 1975 he was prepared to lead Missner Construction Company.

Much like his father, Judd had a thorough understanding of the construction process from inception to completion. He valued integrity, emphasized the importance of a person's word, handshake, and treatment of colleagues, and carried these forward truly cementing them as the foundation of the company.

Early in his new role as CEO of Missner Construction, Mr. Missner, with guidance from industry mentors, ventured into real estate development. He quickly realized the impact he could make in the Chicagoland area and brought on a partner to oversee construction operations. With the ability to focus on development, Judd began dialing in on the real estate market, targeting primarily industrial, medical office, and commercial office buildings.

The company experienced significant growth throughout the 1980s and 1990s, most notably the real estate development group. As a result of the expanding portfolio of real estate, a property and asset management group was formed alongside the growing general contracting and real estate development entities, bringing with it the era of The Missner Group.

Judd worked shoulder to shoulder with son’s Glen and Barry continuing to grow the business up and until his retirement in 2010. While Judd remained on consulting with the business through 2013, the mantle had officially been handed off to Glen and Barry.

Mr. Missner now resides outside of Las Vegas offering wisdom and insight but still taking some much-deserved time at the Poker Table!
