The Missner Group begins Construction on Mixed-Use Development in Glen Ellyn, Illinois
The Missner Group, LLC is pleased to announce that construction has begun on GSP Development’s Apex 400 Apartments, a ground-up, luxury, multi-family apartment, and retail property, located in the heart of downtown Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Apex 400 will be located on the former Giesche Shoe site and Village owned parking lot at 418-424 N. Main Street.
The property will feature numerous first-class amenities in approximately 9,000 square feet of first-floor commercial space joined with 107 luxury apartment units on the second through fifth floors.
Apex 400’s units will include studio and convertible units, as well as one and two-bedroom apartments. Units will range in size from approximately 600 square feet for a studio and up to 1,100 square feet for a two-bedroom. Each residential unit will feature the highest level of comforts, including outdoor balconies, in-unit washer and dryers, state-of-the-art appliances, granite countertops, security systems, and walk-in closets.
Communal amenities will include an outdoor rooftop swimming pool, a recreational area with a perimeter walking path, an entertainment room, a business center, a yoga studio, and a fitness facility.
A two-story parking garage will incorporate public parking on the first floor and residential parking on the second floor. The parking area intended for public use will replace the existing parking area on the site to include 137 public parking spaces. The project will encompass a total of 232,283 square feet.
Apex 400 is centrally located in the heart of the vibrant downtown Glen Ellyn commercial district within close proximity to the Metra station. The exterior look and feel of the development will fit well with the classic look and nature of downtown Glen Ellyn.
According to Larry Debb, President of GSP Development, “There continues to be a strong demand for luxury apartment rentals in transit-oriented suburban downtown markets, with Glen Ellyn being one of suburban Chicago’s most attractive markets. We eagerly look forward to meeting the demand for this luxury sector of the market.”
The project team responsible for Apex 400 will include Bob Nomellini, COO, Bob Papineau, senior project manager, and Chris Glasder, assistant project manager. Keith Hairrell will serve as the project superintendent.
“We look forward to working with GSP Development to deliver a project of exceptional quality, all while continuing to enforce the highest standards of health and safety on-site each and every day,” says Papineau.
